Jazmine Dana Marie

Jazmin Dana Marie, a Puerto Rican Trans Woman, has been in the HIV/AIDS field for over 8 years and has worked on transgender health issues for 4 years. She has been part of the Howard Brown Health Clinic Special Project of National Significance for Transgender Women of Color since December of 2013, is now a Ryan White Part D Medical Case Manager, and has worked at Anne and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago at the Center for Gender, Sexuality and HIV Prevention. Jazmin is also part of the Translatina Coalition and a board member of the Coalicion Trans Latin@: Chicago Chapter.  On May 15, 2015 Jazmin D. Marie is the second Trans Women of Color to receive the Henrietta Lacks Righteous Contributor Award.

Jazmin’s passion for working with Trans* identified individuals is of the upmost importance to her. Through her own experiences as a young trans woman she believes she can empower her trans community and educate its allies.
