A Message of Strength and Solidarity from The TransLatin@ Coalition
At The TransLatin@ Coalition, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our trans and immigrant communities, united by a shared spirit of resilience and hope. Our President & CEO, Bamby Salcedo, speaks directly to our community members, recognizing the fear and uncertainty that too often shadows our journeys. Yet she reminds us that those fears cannot define us.
We face complex legal systems and social barriers, but together we’ve claimed our power at every turn. Bamby underscores that the laws in this country—crafted by people we can hold accountable—offer clear paths forward. By understanding our rights and supporting one another, we chip away at the grip of fear. We’ve already conquered so much simply by surviving; now it’s time to claim our full worth.
Our organization, like many of you, has weathered its own storms. But even in moments of doubt, we reaffirm our commitment: to uplift each voice, to amplify every story, and to build bridges of care across our community. Bamby calls on each of us to nurture hope, to practice radical self-love, and to extend a hand to those who need it most.
This is more than a message—it’s a call to collective action. Let’s continue to organize, to learn our rights, and to lift each other up. Because when we move forward together, nothing can hold us back. We are powerful. We are valuable. And we will rise—today, tomorrow, and always.
