The report, spanning crucial areas of life, from access to identification documents to experiences with violence, served as a wake-up call to society about the systemic barriers entrenched within our institutions.

The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC), a leading organization advocating for Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex (TGI) Latinx communities, has been targeted by a series of bomb threats and hate mail directed at its members and facilities. These despicable acts represent a dangerous escalation in the ongoing violence and discrimination faced by TGI communities worldwide.

In recent years, The TransLatin@ Coalition has been at the forefront of advocating for policies that uplift and support the transgender, gender diverse, and intersex (TGI) community. Through collaborative efforts and unwavering dedication, the Coalition has played a pivotal role in shaping discussions and policies to improve TGI individuals' lives across the United States.

The recent deaths of Nex Benedict and Reyna Hernandez, a 54-year-old Latina trans woman from Renton, Washington, serve as a painful reminder of the ongoing violence targeting TGI communities.

On this International Women's Day, The TransLatin@ Coalition celebrates the incredible contributions and achievements of transgender women worldwide.

This year, we are celebrating a year-long campaign showcasing the milestones we have achieved so far; this is the first of three phases.

On February 13, advocates, community leaders, and allies joined forces at the Kenneth Hall of Administration in Los Angeles for the impactful Show Us Love Rally aimed to raise awareness about the disparities faced by transgender individuals and push for tangible action from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
