Yesterday, September 17, was a powerful day for our community. The Policy Department of The TransLatin@ Coalition proudly hosted a press conference outside the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency (LACAHSA) board meeting to launch our TGI: Housing Initiative — and it was nothing short of inspiring.

The TransLatin@ Coalition held its inaugural Walk4Humanity to raise funding that the president has cut during his ongoing anti-trans crusade. The result was a community triumph.

On Sunday, August 24, 2025, Sunset Junction became the epicenter of resilience and unity as hundreds joined Walk4Humanity, a mobilization of love, power, and justice for Trans, Gender Expansive, and Intersex (TGI) individuals—especially Black, Brown, and immigrant communities.

The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC), in collaboration with the Williams Institute and the Department of Public Health, is to present the findings of the William Institute’s Lived Experiences in Los Angeles County (LELAC) Survey and the Los Angeles County Transgender and Nonbinary Survey at the June 18, 2024 Policy Presentations Board of Supervisors Meeting.

The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC) will be presenting an “Unmet Needs Letter” to the LA County Chief Executive Office towards an equitable and intentional investment in the health and wellness of TGI communities throughout Los Angeles County.
