Another Sister Lost: Remembering Meraxes Medina
We at The TransLatin@ Coalition are devastated by the violent murder of Meraxes Medina, a beautiful trans Latina, who was shot and killed in South LA on March 20th. Meraxes is at least the sixth trans person to lose their life to violence in 2024, a tragic statistic that reflects the brutal reality faced by far too many in our community.
The TransLatin@ Coalition, LA County Commission On Human Relations and Other Community Organizations, To Hold A Press Conference Condemning Bomb Threats and Hate Mail Received by LGBTQ+ Organizations
The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC,) in collaboration with the LA County Commission on Human Relations and other LGBTQ+ community organizations and law enforcement officials, will hold a joint press conference to address the bomb threatened to be detonated on Monday, April 15th, and hate mail targeting LGBTQ organizations.
