This past weekend, we at The TransLatin@ Coalition were honored to join the incredible Long Beach Pride Parade, standing proudly with our trans, gender expansive, and intersex (TGI) family and our allies. Every year, Long Beach Pride reminds us of the power of visibility, love, and collective action. This year was no exception.

Centering Our Community

When we step out as a community—trans, Latin@, immigrant, and proud—we show the world that we are here, we are resilient, and we matter. At Long Beach Pride, we brought our colors, our stories, and our determination to the streets. Our members, staff, volunteers, and supporters walked together, sharing joy, laughter, and hope for a future where all TGI people can live authentically and free from discrimination.

Uplifting Trans Latin@ Voices

Visibility saves lives. By being present at events like Long Beach Pride, we continue to uplift the experiences and leadership of TGI people, especially those in the Latin@ and immigrant community. We handed out resources, connected with new friends, and let everyone know: our struggle is real, but so is our joy. We are united not only in the fight for justice but also in our celebration of who we are.

Gratitude and Solidarity

We are deeply grateful to everyone who marched with us, supported us, or stopped to learn about our work. Pride is about celebration, but it’s also about solidarity and collective liberation. Thank you for standing with The TransLatin@ Coalition and for believing in a world where trans, gender nonconforming, and intersex people can thrive.
