Kalen Allen is an award-winning television personality, actor and digital creator who is passionate about social justice. Kalen serves as the Grand Marshal of the Walk4Humanity. Bamby Salcedo is a trailblazing activist, community leader and the president of the TransLatin@ Coalition the largest organization in the United States dedicated to serving brown and Latinx transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming communities. The Walk 4 Humanity is a 2-mile walk and celebration to raise critical funds for TLC.

In 2024, we expanded services, opened new centers, and secured vital funding for TGI programs. With over 51,000 individuals reached and critical housing, healthcare, and legal support provided, we continue driving change. Read our 2024 Annual Report to see how we’re building a stronger future.

In 2013, The TransLatin@ Coalition unveiled a groundbreaking study that brought to the forefront the harsh realities faced by Trans, Gender Nonconforming, and Intersex (TGI) individuals in the United States. The report, spanning crucial areas of life, from access to identification documents to experiences with violence, served as a wake-up call to society about the systemic barriers entrenched within our institutions.

The TransLatin@ Coalition is thrilled to announce the release of the comprehensive study, "From Surviving to Thriving: A Quality of Life Study with Transgender, Gender Nonconforming, and Intersex (TGI) Adults in the City of Los Angeles." This groundbreaking research was a collaborative effort between The TransLatin@ Coalition and the prestigious Williams Institute at UCLA Los Angeles.

The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC) and the Department of Chicana(o)/Latina(o) Studies (CLS) at Cal State Los Angeles collaborated on addressing the impact of COVID-19 in the TGI community in Los Angeles County.
