The GARRAS Scholarship is now open! Two-Spirit, transgender, gender expansive, and intersex (2TGI) students in the LA area can apply for one of two $5,000 scholarships to support their education or vocational training.  

Applications are due September 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST.  

The TransLatin@ Coalition took to the streets of Hollywood for the 56th annual LA Pride Parade, bringing Trans Power to one of the most iconic celebrations in the country, and making sure our community was seen, heard, and celebrated.

There are moments that remind you exactly why this work matters. Sunday, June 7, 2026 was one of them.

Santa Monica Boulevard was electric. Thousands of people lined the streets of West Hollywood, flags waving, music shaking the pavement, voices rising above it all. And right there, among the floats and the dancers and the sea of color, was our familia, The TransLatin@ Coalition, marching under a banner that said everything it needed to say: Trans Power.

The TransLatin@ Coalition joined hundreds of LGBTQ+ community members and allies this past Sunday at the 43rd Annual Long Beach Pride Parade to celebrate unity under the Fearless and Free theme. 

This year, The TransLatin@ Coalition decided the theme for our organization should be Trans and Proud.

Update (May 15, 2026): The City of Long Beach has announced the cancellation of the 2026 Long Beach Pride Festival due to safety concerns related to permit compliance. On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, The TransLatin@ Coalition hosted a job fair at the West Hollywood Aquatics & Recreation Center, connecting trans, gender expansive, and intersex individuals with employers who see them, value them, and want to hire them.

At The TransLatin@ Coalition, one of our core beliefs is simple: to make change happen, you have to be the change. That's exactly what we did, alongside 20 participating employers and organizations.

On a bright Friday morning on Sunset Boulevard, surrounded by community members, elected officials, partners, and chosen family, The TransLatin@ Coalition did something no TGI-led immigrant organization has done before in Los Angeles: we broke ground on land for a building we will own. It will become the home of our future offices, a moment seventeen years in the making.

The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC), the largest trans-led organization in the United States founded by Latina immigrants, will host its 11th Annual GARRAS (Groundbreaking Activism Redirecting & Reforming All Systems) Fashion Show on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 8:00 PM at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

The TransLatin@ Coalition held its inaugural Walk4Humanity to raise funding that the president has cut during his ongoing anti-trans crusade. The result was a community triumph.

On Sunday, August 24, 2025, Sunset Junction became the epicenter of resilience and unity as hundreds joined Walk4Humanity, a mobilization of love, power, and justice for Trans, Gender Expansive, and Intersex (TGI) individuals—especially Black, Brown, and immigrant communities.
